Question 5

How did you attract/address your audience?

Some of the aspects in the film that would appeal to target audience:

Locations- The main location seen in the opening sequence in a college so that would draw in younger viewers as it is set in an environment that they are familiar with.

Characters- The characters would appeal to the younger viewers as they are at a similar age as the characters so their situations may be very similar. For the older viewers it would appeal to them as they may see a bit of them selfs in the characters. For example people who had troubled childhoods and did struggle when it came to money may relate more with the character El. Whereas people who were not very popular but focused more on work than anything else could relate more with Grace.

This is a trailer that I created for Weirdly Connected. I used Final Cut Pro and handbrake to create it. This trailer would reach the audience through both youtube and Vimeo. If we had a large marketing budget then we would show the trailer in cinema previews and also during advertisements on TV.

This is a poster which I designed for the film. It could be seen online, on billboards or even in magazines or newspapers.

How have you reached the audience?

So far we have had our film posted on vimeo and there has been a cinema preview aimed exclusively at students.
