Filming The Breakfast Club

Previous blogpost show some images taken over the two day duration of our group filming the remake of The Breakfast Club. Overall we managed to get the majority of the shots needed to replicate the film, however as a group we faced several challenges to make sure the shots we got were accurate. The biggest challenge for us was making the car look as lifelike as possible and giving off the illusion of someone coming out of the car. It was important for us to make the toy cars look real as possible because the form of transport they arrived in said something about their social background, and as a group we thought it was essential to capture that. Doing this ensured that we understood the assignment. Although coming under stress to make sure everything would be filmed in time, filming our remake of The Breakfast club was fun, as I was able to develop my skills with the camera and I got to work out how to give the illusion of something being there that is really not.
